I am a PhD Candidate in Computer Science at the University of California Santa Barbara advised by Elizabeth Belding and Arpit Gupta. I have a strong background in a variety of fields such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Economics, and Social Science, and have conducted research in areas such as communication networks, performance benchmarking, data mining and natural language processing for information extraction. The goal of my research is to identify and address digital inequalities between communities, and to create tools and strategies to help bridge the divide. I have experience working with large datasets, applying machine learning techniques, and utilizing cloud computing platforms such as IBM Cloud, Google Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft Azure. Prior to starting my PhD journey, I earned a M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cape Town.
